Scientific understanding. Engineering judgment.

ALTWHIZ brings research-level capability in fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, numerical modelling and CFD, combined with industrial engineering and product-development thinking. This core capability describes the technical expertise available across an engagement.

Connected technical disciplines

  • Fluid mechanics and CFD
  • Heat and mass transfer
  • Thermal-fluid system analysis
  • Microfluidic device design support
  • Multiphysics and numerical modelling
  • Model verification, validation and sensitivity analysis
  • Experimental R&D and model/experiment correlation
  • Engineering design recommendations

Models that support a decision

Simulation is treated as a decision tool. Models should be physically grounded, validated where possible, and used to explain mechanisms, compare designs and predict operating behavior.

For fluidic devices and scientific products, the work can connect flow-path reasoning, design iteration, modelling strategy, experiment planning and technical interpretation.

Research and industrial foundation

The founder's background includes a 3D coupled fluid-flow and heat-transfer model implemented in COMSOL and comparison with microgravity experiments. ESA and CNES are referenced as research-support context, not ALTWHIZ clients.

Earlier industrial Design & Engineering work and subsequent microfluidic device R&D add applied context to the scientific foundation.
