How ALTWHIZ handles enquiry information and website security data, and how to exercise your rights.

Data collected

The form asks for your name, business email, area of support and message. Company and website are optional. Required fields allow us to understand and respond to an enquiry. Please avoid sensitive personal information in an initial message.

Online enquiry delivery is disabled. Review takes place only in your browser. The form does not submit your information to ALTWHIZ or save it to application storage.

Messages sent directly to a published email address are handled separately by the relevant mailbox service.

Purpose of processing

Enquiry information is used to understand a request, assess whether ALTWHIZ can help and respond. When delivery is enabled, security checks help reject automated submissions and request identifiers support duplicate-delivery prevention. There is no newsletter, marketing subscription, profiling or automated decision-making in this application.

Legal basis

Enquiry handling: ALTWHIZ processes information submitted through its contact channels to respond to professional enquiries and manage related business communications. This processing is based on ALTWHIZ's legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and managing professional relationships. Where an enquiry concerns steps requested by an individual with a view to entering into a contract, processing necessary for those steps may also be based on pre-contractual measures requested by that individual.

Website operation and security: Technical information necessary to protect the website, prevent abuse and investigate security events is processed on the basis of ALTWHIZ's legitimate interests in maintaining the security and integrity of its website, systems and communications.

Recipients and processors

Enquiries are intended for the business operator. Hosting and business correspondence are handled by the providers described below. Additional form processors are identified when online delivery is enabled.

Service providers: ALTWHIZ uses Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL for infrastructure hosting. The configured primary hosting region is Europe (Frankfurt), Germany. Its email hosting/service provider receives and stores business correspondence addressed to ALTWHIZ.

Mailbox provider and handling: Zoho Mail is the email hosting/service provider used to receive and store business correspondence addressed to ALTWHIZ email addresses.

Hosting

Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL is the configured infrastructure hosting provider. The primary hosting region is Europe (Frankfurt), Germany. This region does not imply that every service provider processes all data exclusively in Germany.

Hosting log categories and operation: Application delivery-follow-up logs contain generic failure events, not enquiry message contents, email addresses or verification tokens. Infrastructure logging is to be configured consistently with the security purposes and retention criteria described in this policy.

International transfers

Some service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Where such transfers require appropriate safeguards, ALTWHIZ relies on the transfer mechanisms provided under applicable provider agreements, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. The Frankfurt infrastructure region is not a blanket guarantee of EU-only processing.

Data retention

Enquiries and email correspondence: Information relating to an enquiry that does not result in a contractual relationship may be retained for up to three years from its collection or the last substantive contact initiated by the person concerned, whichever is later and applicable. An unanswered message sent by ALTWHIZ does not restart this period. Where an enquiry results in a contractual relationship, relevant information is moved into the appropriate client record and retained for the periods applicable to contractual, accounting or legal obligations.

Operational and security logs: Technical and security logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to ensure service security, detect and investigate incidents, prevent abuse and comply with applicable legal obligations. They are then deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

The application has no enquiry database. Business correspondence is held by the email hosting/service provider. The retention periods and criteria above describe ALTWHIZ’s policy, not an independently verified provider-specific retention setting.

Security

The contact endpoint checks origin, JSON content type, request size, field limits, the hidden spam field and verification token before delivery. Provider credentials remain on the server. Follow-up logs contain only generic follow-up failure events, not form fields, email addresses or tokens.

Your rights

Depending on the processing and applicable legal basis, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction, object to processing, or request portability. Where consent is the legal basis, you may withdraw it.

You may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).

How to exercise your rights

Write to the privacy email below, describing your request and the information concerned. Do not send identity documents with an initial request.

Cookies and trackers

No analytics, newsletter or marketing tracking is active. The application does not set analytics or marketing cookies and does not use local or session storage to track visitors. Fonts and assets are served locally. No non-essential tracking is installed, so no analytics-consent banner is present. If you choose a language with the EN / FR switcher, a functional cookie (aw_locale) remembers that choice for one year; it is not used for analytics or tracking. If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser keeps that choice in its local storage (aw_theme); it is never sent to us and is not used for tracking.
