About ALTWHIZ

A consulting practice for problems that span business, software and engineering

ALTWHIZ is a multidisciplinary consulting practice built around a simple idea: difficult problems are solved better when business, technology, operations and engineering are treated as connected systems.

Our perspective

Why one practice covers four disciplines

Strategy

Understand the real problem, define priorities and create a decision structure.

Technology

Translate business and domain requirements into usable digital products, systems, integrations and automation.

Engineering

Bring scientific and technical depth when the problem requires physics, modelling, experimentation or advanced product R&D.

Execution

Keep recommendations connected to implementation, documentation, coordination and measurable progress.

The name ALTWHIZ brings together alternative perspectives and a willingness to challenge default assumptions with deep capability, analytical intelligence and disciplined problem solving.

How we work

The founder

Sanjeev Kumar, PhD

Founder & Principal Consultant

A multidisciplinary trajectory spanning scientific engineering research, industrial problem solving, healthcare and laboratory technology, software products, business systems and entrepreneurship.

The PhD and advanced engineering background provide technical depth; ALTWHIZ itself is broader—connecting strategy, technology, operations and engineering around difficult problems.

Career path

From fluid mechanics to products and operations

The early technical foundation includes fluid mechanics, heat transfer, CFD, numerical modelling, microgravity experimentation and industrial engineering. Subsequent work expanded into microfluidic device R&D, healthcare and laboratory technology, software products, digital systems, process design and operating workflows.
